Information Systems Officer. Full Time. Permanent position.

We are one of the largest Further Education Colleges in the UK with more than 21,400 learners studying with us on a wide range of courses. Our mission is to equip people with the skills they need to be successful in education, in work and business and in their personal lives.

This is a vital role within the College IT Services team, providing appropriate support to staff of all levels in the use of the College information systems. You will be required to support the development and maintenance of computer reports and software to meet the information needs of the College and external organisations and analysis of the College's performance to support management decision making.

You will have relevant experience of working with large complex relational databases within an FE environment. Experience of producing reports from MS Access and Visual Basic for Applications, SQL server development and direct user contact and troubleshooting is essential. As is an understanding of the application of the Data Protection Act to the working environment.

Along with your colleagues you will provide excellent customer service and support to staff throughout the College in the use of College information systems. 

You will have good communication skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines. 

A relevant degree is desirable or substantial experience of system and user support.
