My client based in Watford has been established for over 50 years, operates from large, well equipped and ventilated premises. This is a lovely company to work for where they look after their staff in all respects.
Role
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will be an experienced metal polisher who will be working for this busy decorative metal plating company that serve the aviation and brass instrument industries.
You must be confident in your abilities, in particular your attention to detail in producing an outstanding quality product. Any previous polishing experience would be beneficial.
There are highly specialised process techniques that are unique to my client's business. Different polishing mops and compounds are utilised in achieving different surface finishes.
You must be enthusiastic, approachable and be receptive to instruction whilst remaining competent in working on your own initiative.
Skills Essential:
Fettling
Linishing
Lapping
Bead blasting
Bright and Mirror polishing of metalwork in Aluminium, Brass, Mild and Stainless Steel Steels and Zinc Die casts.

Rate GBP8.50 - GBP12.50 an hour = GBP17,459 - GBP25,675 per annum, depending upon skills and experience
Hours 39.5 hours a week - 8.00am till 4.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break and morning tea break
Overtime Monday to Friday - 6.30am till 8.00am and 4.30pm - 5.30pm = 2.5 hours a day at Time & Half
Saturday Mornings - 6.30am till 10.30am, three Saturdays a month four hours at Time & Half
Holidays 20 days plus the 8 Bank Holidays = 28 day Holiday per annum
