The post holder will be responsible for training detainees in an internally accredited construction programme of painting and decorating, basic bricklaying, joinery & plumbing at Morton Hall Immigration Removal Centre to meet the needs of the detainees, Centre and Lincoln College Group. You will be responsible for the co-ordination of internal qualifications and delivering high learner success through effective training.This role will require the trainer to be responsible for a high level of security, productivity, good order and hygiene within the workshops areas.
You will have the ability to monitor Detainees undertaking internal construction internal qualifications and respond to the individual learning needs of residents, alongside having the ability to deliver training and having the willingness to explore new training strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess a Vocational Qualification or experience of delivery in construction work skills and a C&G 6502 Level 3 Award in Education and Training (previously PTLLS) or equivalent qualification, or the ability and willingness to obtain this within 1 year (2 years for fractional posts) of commencing employment.
In addition, you will have recent relevant experience of delivery and assessment of a range of construction areas and relevant up to date industry knowledge.
