Software Support Engineer - Permanent - Peterborough - PLC / SCADA System Experience Required - GBP35-40k
Samuel Frank Associates require an experienced Software Support Engineer to join a client in Cambridgeshire. The successful hire will have a strong PLC software background and ideally have knowledge of a range of PLCs including Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron and/or Mitsubishi.
This position is absolutely ideal for a PLC Software specialist looking to spend less time travelling and more time in the office.
The main aspects of the role include -
- Respond to customer support requests in a timely manner
- Good knowledge of PLC and HMI software for Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens and Omron
- SCADA application software knowledge with GE IFix and/or Wonderware
- Good understanding of electrical process control hardware
The successful hire will be required to work on an out of hours call rota approximately 2 days in 10.
Other aspects of the position include -
- Review support contract for obsolete equipment
- To provide routine office & site based customer contact associated with the promotion and sale of equipment.
- To review customer support documentation and contract call logs
- To generate commercially viable support spares sales
The position will suit a local candidate as the vast majority of the work will be office based. The client is based in the Peterborough area so the position will be suitable for applicants based in Stamford, Corby, Huntingdon, Kettering and St. Neots.
