ROLE:-
We are looking for an Automotive PLM Support Engineer to become part of an established team. This would be an ideal position for a person looking to increase their experience in supporting a varied portfolio of engineering design and manufacturing applications.
KEY TASKS:-
IT/IS Support service for Design and Manufacturing in the Automotive Environment - including logging and progressing support calls
- Management of Software Install and Maintenance - including upgrades and license management.
- Software asset management at European level.
- PC hardware and network infrastructure support.
- Data Management and archiving processes.
- Assisting in wider projected related tasks when necessary.
EDUCATION:-
- Degree or Apprenticeship in a relevant field.
KEY SKILLS:-
- Must be good all round IT capable - including networking, software install and upgrade.
- Strong Windows 7 experience.
- Good working knowledge of Windows Server environment (both Windows Server 2008 and 2012).
- Understanding of Siemens Teamcenter and NX CAD systems
- Strong communication abilities - able to capture and evaluate faults/issues and progress to conclusion, while keeping all stakeholders aware of progress.
- Ability to work alone or in a team.
- Full Driving License.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:-
While not essential, experience of the following would be an advantage:
- Teamcenter Manufacturing
- Awareness of Delmia
- Awareness of Catia (V5)
- Microsoft Certification or equivalent industrial qualification.
- ITIL Foundation Certified.
- Understanding applications such as - Delcam, Autodesk
