The Global Health Network () aims to support more and better clinical and laboratory research in the poorest places in the world. It operates in the regions and through a collection of online research communities located together on a shared digital hub. Each research community focuses on a specific therapeutic area, type of research, or are cross cutting research support communities. The objective is to enable research to change lives in low-income countries around the world.
We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager, who will have oversight of all the component projects and support the operational team in working to the milestones and making sure that the resources and appropriate planning and reporting structures are in place. You will work closely with our key partners who are the WHO, other academic groups around the world, as well as DFID, the Gates Foundation and many other prestigious global health organisations.
It is essential that you have a scientific qualification or a degree in medical sciences or a relevant commercial field. Strong experience as a project manager, grant manager or in business development is a must. You will have experience of co-ordinating and planning to a high level and have experience of managing or winning grants or business contracts. Proven leadership ability within a multi-disciplinary team is key. Experience of medical research or working in developing countries is highly desired. We are looking for a highly motivated and driven person who would be excited by joining our dynamic team and helping build this incredible project and take it to its full potential.
This position is available on a full time basis, fixed term for 3 years in the first instance.
