This is a new post reporting directly to the Assistant Chief Executive.

Evidenced awareness of contract management and contract procurement methods across a range of services are essential. Thorough knowledge of service improvement techniques, approaches to consultation and working in a contractor/client relationship are also crucial.
You will lead on implementing new legislation and policies that are relevant to the service areas. Modernising and transforming service delivery to meet both customer demands and the Council's long term plans will be a key priority.
You must be someone who takes an entrepreneurial approach, identifying and exploiting opportunities, with a broad understanding and appreciation of markets and commercial practices. You will be a champion for the Council to our partners in terms of our development and long-term objectives.
