Fixed term contract for 12 months

Background

This is a newly created role bringing together the various strands of data management within the Faculty of Education to ensure a coordinated and structured approach to the range of data and reporting needs.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading on the development of strategy and systems to support the collation and provision of core student data, in support of a range of programmes in the Faculty, but with a main emphasis on the data needs and requirements for Ofsted, Census and HESA reporting purposes.

You will liaise closely with the Faculty's academic leads, School Administration Managers and members of the University's central services to ensure the co-ordination of data reporting for the Faculty.

The Person

With a first degree or equivalent, you will have experience of working with data collection, analysis, and reporting and have the ability to take a strategic approach in developing systems and making recommendations for developments.

You will have the ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities and to work on your own initiative in line with priorities and workloads. You will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and process and contextualise verbal and written information. Proven interpersonal, oral and written communication skills together with the ability to be able to work effectively within rigorous standards and to demanding deadlines are essential, as is the ability to work as a member of a team.

Although the role is based at the Canterbury campus, there is a requirement for some travel between campuses and other venues.
