Maintenance Engineer, Engineering
Maintenance Engineer is needed by our client, a long established company manufacturing business based in Birmingham.
They are looking for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep product machinery and equipment fully operational and carry out general site maintenance in accordance with business requirements.
Duties / Responsibilities:
· Carry out machine breakdown maintenance
· Maintain safe working policies and assist in the management of health and safety and company policies
· Execute planned preventative maintenance schedules for all machines and electrical systems
· Perform regular maintenance on a daily/weekly basis
· Reduce machine downtime, maximise machine availability and efficiency
· Reducing onsite contractor requirements
· Assisting external contractors with machine servicing and problem solving
· Assist in current and future projects including continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques
· Plant maintenance
Skills / Experience:
· Mechanical and electrical discipline
· Experienced with maintaining and repairing a variety of machines
· Engineering qualification (NVQ, C&G, HND, HNC, OND, ONC or degree)
· Problem solving and diagnostic skills
