DT Technician
Prospero Teaching are now proudly recruiting on behalf of an excellent school near Bridgwater. We are looking for a DT Technician who is organised and enthusiastic to join their dynamic and hard-working team.
This is a temporary ongoing position. DBS Certificate is required.
Working hours are Monday- Wednesday 8.30am-9pm (1hr lunch break as well as morning and evening breaks)
Your role as a DT Technician will include:
*Helping out in the DT workshop: Woodwork, Resistant materials and product design
*Maintaining equipment, materials and facilities to the highest possible standard
*Preparing specialist materials and equipment for use in lessons
*Providing technical support to staff and pupils during lessons
*Providing skilled assistance to academic staff in preparation of teaching aids
The ideal DT Technician will have the following:
*Experience working as a DT Technician or Workshop Technician (experience in a school would be preferred)
*Wood Machining experience
*Fine woodworking hand skills
*Health and Safety awareness in a workshop environment
*Experience using power tools
*Basic machine maintenance knowledge
*Enthusiasm to work with learners of all ages
*Related qualifications and training would be beneficial but not essential
*Eligibility to work in the UK
