Senior Quality Engineer
Abingdon
GBP35,000 - GBP45,000 per annum + excellent benefits
A leading manufacturer in the Abingdon area require an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team due to continued success and expansion. You will provide day-to-day problem support to all teams alongside long-term guidance for improving systems that you will ensure continues to meet customers' requirements.
Principle Accountabilities.
Provide problem resolution and fast response to the production and service teams
Control the inspection processes
Use problem-solving tools, process improvements, and root cause analysis tools
Company calibration activities
Map and audit business processes
Continuous Improvement activities at all levels of the business
Provide training and coaching
Represent quality through the NPI process
Your initial focus will be to work across all departments to create Process Control documentation and play a key role in leading the changes needed to move towards a first-class QMS
Experience/Skills:
You will ideally have experience within an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment and experience within a highly-regulated industry (medical, scientific, automotive etc.) You will be passionate about improving quality and customer service at all levels, with the ability to process complex data and provide clear reports.

- Significant skills in problem-solving techniques
- Minimum 5 years post graduate or post apprenticeship experience
- Experience in delivering Continuous Improvement programmes

- Lean Manufacturing implementation experience
- Internal auditor training
- Experience working in a highly-regulated market
