Are you an ambitious Mathematics Teacher looking for a position where you can make real a difference, with the chance to enhance your professional development?
About Us
The City of Peterborough Academy was opened in September 2013 by the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) after a GBP13.8m capital build. Based on Reeves Way in Peterborough, the academy has quickly grown from strength to strength with the most recent Ofsted inspection in April 2015 judging the academy as Outstanding. It noted pupil behaviour as "exemplary".
Due to its expanding pupil numbers each academic year, the academy offers a fantastic setting for training and development and the successful candidate will have the chance to grow and develop within the academy.
The academy is led by the Principal, Alex Emmerson, who herself has progressed her career throughout the GAT. All staff aim to ensure the learning environment is a happy, supportive and caring one whilst still having a strong focus on high standards such as behaviour and uniform.
About You
As Teacher of Mathematics at our academy, you will be expected to engage and enthuse learners through a commitment to outstanding teaching and learning, sharing our ethos that all children can succeed. To succeed you must be innovative in your techniques to motivate and inspire young people; you will also be a great team player and first class communicator.
In Return
Working for GAT, means you can be assured that you will be contributing to our mission to enable every child to achieve their best. All our academies work collaboratively to share best practice and are supported by the expertise within the central team to enable them to focus on teaching and learning. As a GAT employee you will receive excellent opportunities for career progression and access to bespoke CPD from the Learning Alliance to enhance your professional growth.
