Where does this role fit in?

Now it's not like you haven't seen a job advert for an Account Manager before, and let's be honest, it'll all come down to industry experience. What better way to service a client than by hiring someone who already knows the products and services they'd be advising on?

Wouldn't it be so much easier if someone just wrote:

Experience working in a consultative agency environment, advising clients on print management and digital marketing solutions

That'd be way too easy!

But if you are someone who can relate to the statement then you're probably thinking to yourself ok, great, but how do I know I'm the right level for the job?

You're right because you're an experienced account manager and you're not looking for a junior level position. You've mastered the operational, delivery part of account management in your current role and you're ready to prove that you have the ability to think about the bigger picture and business strategy.

It's sounding great already! So what client will you be working on? We're pleased to say this opportunity is based on site at Weight Watchers' HQ, Maidenhead. Awesome job, great client; you really can have your cake and eat it too!

You're not going to be shy about getting stuck in either, we've just received sixteen new projects from Weight Watchers so you'll have your work cut out. You'll be responsible for national delivery of all printed marketing collateral and coordination of all digital marketing work. As an experienced account manager we'd also like you to take responsibility for the account's specific management information reporting.

* You won't be micro managed here, the ability to manage your own time and deliver quality with speed is essential.
* You know your digital, and you know your print. You can grasp and process data complicit digital and print work
* You work well with others; this role definitely isn't in a silo!
* You can also work well under pressure, delivery is key and you don't let minor setbacks get you down.
* You'll need to have a good standard of Excel as you'll be handling large spreadsheets. Experience with Keynote is desirable.
