Are you an Electrical/Mechanical engineer looking for technical progression, personal development and the chance to support production for one of the largest suppliers of interior products in the world?
The role
- To repair and maintain electrical & mechanical equipment.
- To repair where possible damage to buildings and plumbing.
- To follow all relevant Company, Health and Safety & Quality procedures and processes.
KEY TASKS
- Maintain and repair machinery and buildings safely and effectively
- Install/alter and repair electrical distribution and cabling
- Preventative maintenance tasks as per schedule
- Assist works managers with engineering/electrical problems at their sites.
- Report any unsafe plant or operations to line manager, make safe were possible.
- Build control panels, rewire and update machinery.
- Drive fork lift and operate MEWP
- Comply with Health and safety requirements
- Comply with PPE requirements
- Building and plumbing repairs
- Housekeeping
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
- Relevant electrical qualification and current regulations
- Current clean driving licence
- Mechanical engineering back round.
- Ability to use tool room equipment correctly and safely
- Ability to weld and fabricate.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and electronic drawings
- Fork lift truck and MEWP License
- Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative
- Ability to fault find and carry out corrective action
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of company training procedure
- Understanding of all relevant Company, Health and Safety & Quality processes and procedure
- Flexible approach to work
Hours of work: Monday - Friday
