THE ROLE: Service Desk Analyst, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
My client currently have a vacancy for a Service Desk Analyst, to log, monitor and resolve a diverse range of technical incidents/requests from end-users across the organisation in order to provide a prompt first/second line support service to end users to resolve incidents and adhere to first time fix target.
Key Responsibilities to include:- Service Desk Analyst, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Provide high quality first line support for all, accurately logging all calls from customers and assessing their priority in an environment with over 500 be-spoke applications, in order to enable the prompt and effective resolution of the incident/request
Account administration for new users, moves and changes. Basic Server Administration in order to maintain the security of systems used at Cambridge Assessment
Respond and fix where appropriate incidents such as basic PC problems, application support, changing passwords, freeing locked accounts, increasing network space etc. in order to provide a prompt first/second line support service to end users
Liaise with multiple resolver groups and external third party suppliers in order to ensure effective customer service delivery
Adhere to current processes and procedures whilst ensuring incidents and requests are resolved and fulfilled accurately
Key experience essential for the role: Service Desk Analyst, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Previous experience of working as a Service Desk Analyst (first or second line) essential
Essential that candidate has GCSE English qualification or equivalent (degree desirable)
Experience working in a IT environment supporting multiple services and applications
Excellent telephone manner and the ability to extract critical information to allow effective resolution of problems
Good knowledge of Microsoft desktop configuration, network infrastructure and active directory
Knowledge and awareness of ITIL processes (desirable)
