As the Programme Management Office Director at HS2 you will be accountable for setting the HS2 standards and tools for Programme Management and Programme Controls in line with leading practice to support delivery of HS2's scope of work within budget.
About the role:
Enabling effective programme delivery across HS2 through setting the HS2 way standards and tools for Programme Management and Programme Controls Responsible for collating corporate and programme reports including a corporate and programme strategic view of the forward schedule Responsible for reporting and monitoring HS2-wide performance, including against HS2 Ltd's scorecard objectives and measures Heads of Profession for Programme Management, Integrated Programme Controls, Planning, Cost Management & Estimating and Reporting & Performance Accountable for setting and maintaining standards, tools and systems needed to delivery programme management and programme controls Accountable for setting and maintaining standards and tools for reporting including management information and data structures
About You:
You will be regarded as a leading expert and thought leader in the PMO field You will be able to demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills at all levels, with the ability to tactfully challenge existing procedures to support best practices in project management\programme management. Have a demonstrable track record of cost validation and delivering value for money outcomes on large infrastructure projects. Expertise and experience in leading programme management and project controls functions at a large scale enterprise or on complex projects. Experience of implementing programme management tools and solutions, including MI solutions Has experience of operating within complex matrix organisations
