Clerk to the SGS AT Local Governing Body
SGS Pegasus School and SGS Berkeley Green UTC
Salary Range: £18,560 - £23,935 pro rata per annum
(Salary is dependent on level of qualification and experience)
Contract Type: TTO (weeks to be confirmed)
Hours: 30 hours per week
(would consider 2 posts at 15 hours each)

We are seeking a Clerk to join SGS Academy Trust supporting SGS Pegasus School, Filton and SGS Berkeley Green UTC, Berkeley. The Clerk will provide an effective administrative support to the governing body and its committees, ensure the governing body is properly constituted in line with the approved SGS AT Local Governing Body (LGB) Terms of Reference. The Clerk will liaise with the SGS AT Clerk in respect of required provision of information and reporting to the SGS AT Board. The Clerk of the LGB will report to the Chair of the LGB with oversight provided by the SGS AT Clerk to ensure effective Governance and organisation of LGB and Trust business. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of governance procedures, roles and responsibilities in an education setting plus an understanding of UTC.
SGS Pegasus School will open in September 2017 and will be a ground breaking development providing a genuinely innovative school for children and young people who have autism. At full-capacity, the School will cater for 80 pupils aged between 4 and 19, who will access the national curriculum while still receiving the specialist support they need.
The SGS Berkeley Green UTC will also open in September 2017. It will provide ground breaking, genuinely innovative education for young people, aged between 14 and 19, who are interested in either Advanced Manufacturing or Digital Technologies.
