Location: Fareham, South East Hampshire
Salary: GBP65k + Benefits
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Our client is currently recruiting for a qualified, experienced Operations Manager to work alongside the Commercial Director to ensure that the team`s resources and staff are utilised to full potential and the annual targets are achieved.
The Role of the Operations Manager:
- Plan, forecast, report on sales, costs and team performance, according to the agreed targets non a monthly basis
- Manage Costs and overhead and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the team/business
- Plan and manage all new business development required to achieve financial targets
- Take necessary action to communicate/advise and assist team members according to performance levels
- Develop and maintain systems to establish standards relating to all operational activities
- Ensure all activities undertaken meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for health & safety,
- legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duties
- Ability to communicate and work closely with all senior managers
- Attend pre con meetings to ensure correct scope and costs are produced
- Oversee all designs
- Ensure we are working to current specifications
- Ensure projects have been priced correctly
- Ensure all costs are completed and agreed with the client including variations
- Take necessary action to communicate/advise and assist team members according to performance levels
- Appraisal reviews, end of probation period and annual
- Quarterly Board presentations detailing operational and commercial performance of Facades
- Ensure company paperwork is completed both operational and commercial
- Attend pre, mid or post tender interviews
- Attend any pre contract meetings to qualify programme, scope of work and value
- Offer VE advice and alternative methods and products
- Management and appointment of adequate staff
- Read, understand and implement company health and safety policy and all company processes at all times.
Operations Manager: Personal Attributes
The ideal candidate will have an NVQ level 4 minimum in Site Management and a current SMSTS qualification; alongside this the ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years` experience in a similar Operations Manager role.
- Good at organisation and multitasking
- Ability to remain calm and focused
- Accuracy and quality in reports and documents
- Professional conduct when representing the business
- Excellent people skills
- Business development skills and ability to promote ATJ Facades
- Ability to negotiate
To be Successful as an Operations Manager for my client, the below are essential operational and technical skills required for effective fulfilment of the role. Training will be provided as necessary:
- IT literate
- Ability to manage numerous sites/people
- A full UK driving license
- Good organisation and multitasking skills
- Knowledge and understanding of contracts administration
