OVERVIEW
Our client is looking to recruit a talented Procurement Manager to be based from their regional office.
The main aim of this role is to deliver the project procurement strategy for a major construction project in the Midlands as well as managing the full cradle to grave subcontract procurement process.
You will be responsible for securing savings, rebates and compliance in line with project and company targets.
ROLE
- Deliver the project procurement strategy for a major construction project in the Midlands
- Manage the full cradle to grave subcontract procurement process
- Setup a new subcontract supply chain for the project
- Send out enquires, evaluate, negotiate and make recommendations
- Work with engineers and commercial teams to ensure tenders are technically compliant
- Place orders and manage all subcontract packages
- Secure savings, rebates and compliance in line with project and company targets
REQUIREMENTS
- Currently working as either a Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager for a leading Construction Contractor
- Experience of managing the full cradle to grave subcontract negotiation process
- Experience of managing challenging internal stakeholder requirements
- MCIPS or relevant business degree would be beneficial
