INJECTION MOULDING LEAD TECHNICIAN
HIGH VOLUME MANUFACTURING
GBP40,000 + Paid Overtime + Pension
An opportunity for a specialist in the area of plastics, for a Plastic Moulding Lead Technician has become available.
This is a high volume production environment, and would suit anPlastic Moulding Lead Technicianhas a high energy level, and someone who has an instinct for continuous improvement ideas. As aPlastic Moulding LeadTechnician you will be responsibility for continuous improvement programmes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ideally, you will be trained to Apprentice standard, and / or formal engineering training
- You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of Injection Mould tools, management and maintenance of
- Knowledge of multi-cavity
- To have the ability to manipulate CAD drawings
- A "hands-on" approach, and to have the ability to operate machine tools, i;e milling machines
- To have the ability to work in a clean working environment
- To be flexible to work shifts
- It would be highly beneficial if you have worked in a continuous improvement environment
DUTIES
- To have the ability to support continuous improvement projects
- To attend toolmaker injection trials
- Actively support new project activities
- Champion SMED improvement "process changeover last off to 1st off good production"
- Mentor Setters, Toolmakers, Tool Change Assistants
- Identification of training needs
- Optimise machine cycle times, improving product yield
- Development and maintenance of tool trial schedule
- Control robot end of arm tooling
- TMP alignment
- Implement and utilise preheat stations
- Identify Cost Down initiatives
- Uphold 5s for all machines
- Cycle time improvement
- Offer Tool change over support
- Occasional travel overseas
