A world leading engineering business, based near Stevenage, is seeking a Quality Engineer to analyse, report and monitor the performance of their products, purchased goods and processes. The business, established for nearly 100 years, supply safety critical equipment for non-civil applications around the world.
Your focus as the Quality Engineer will be to focus on the continual improvement of products and processes, while providing support for the Quality Management System, with the overall aim to achieve AS 9100.
The successful Quality Engineer will have experience in quality function of a manufacturing company and have hands on approach to investigating and solving hardware and process problems.
Quality Engineer Requirements:
- Educated to BTEC, HND or degree level in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years' experience of working in a quality management role within the engineering/manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 & AS 9100 standards
- Must be able to use statistical software packages i.e. Minitab
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies essential
- Working knowledge of CMM and other metrology measurement methods is advantageous
