You will be joining a truly fantastic family run business who have three offices located in the Midlands and the North. Steady successful and long established, the teams are empowered and stable with little staff turnover. We are looking to recruit a Senior Projects Controls Engineer on a full time permanent basis.

The overview of the role:

To manage a team to configure controls software for projects to ensure the individual automated bespoke laundry system matches the requirement and needs of our customers.

Main Responsibilities of the Senior Projects Controls Engineer:

- To lead a team to develop controls software for projects
- Test all software prior to dispatch
- Fault finding on breakdowns and service issues
- Assist on site, when necessary, with the controls software commissioning
- Give first hand training of the system to the computer/project team
- Liaise with design, circuits, production and installation regarding system specification
- Responsible for the departmental adherence to the company health and safety policy
- Responsible for departmental compliance of UK quality system and procedures
- Responsible for the compliance of directives in applying instructions from the controls, service and installation departments
- Controls documentation, e.g. IO list/sequences

Essential experience of Senior Projects Controls Engineer

- BSc/ OVC/ HND / HNC / in electrical/electronic disciplines or time served
- Practical knowledge of full turnkey system from conception to completion
- Practical knowledge of automated systems
- Basic German
- Fluent English both oral and written
- PLC and SCADA software programming (Trackview)
- PLC programming (B&R Controls)
- HMI
- Electrics
- Good communication skills with a flexible approach
- Able to interact with people at all levels.
- Willingness to travel in the UK and abroad for periods of between 1 and 5 weeks
- Current, valid full driving licence and current valid passport

Hours:

The working week runs Monday to Sunday. The hours of work for this role are 37.5 per week to be worked flexibly providing at least 37.5 basic hours are worked each week. Your working hours are tracked on a Saturday to Friday basis. Out-of-hours telephone and email support is a significant feature of this role and you may on occasion be required to go to site. This is not a position where overtime is paid.

Package

The starting salary for this position is circa GBP45,000 per annum. You will be part of a multi-branch company who offer 33 days' holiday (including bank holidays,) pension, healthcare, sick pay, childcare vouchers, long service awards.
