I am currently looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join a large automotive tier 1 supplier.

Shift pattern: 2x shift pattern 6.00 am 2.00 pm 2.00 pm 10.00 pm 4 days on/4 days off Job Purpose: To participate in maintaining and repairing all Equipment and facilities, to keep it in efficient and effective operation to allow the production to be maintained and maximized. Key objectives: Carry out designated planned maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment and facilities are handed back to Manufacturing, operational, safe and fit for purpose. Fault diagnosis and rectification of problems on equipment in an effective and timely manner to support manufacturing. Completion of relevant records of faults and rectification carried out, to allow tracking and improvements to equipment and facilities. To help ensure that all equipment and facilities are in a safe condition at all times. To build, assemble or modify equipment as instructed by relevant supervision. To carry out electrical and mechanical isolations for employees safety where necessary. To liaise with colleagues in the Maintenance and Manufacturing departments to ensure inter shift information flow about issues arising and solutions found. Put forward ideas and suggestions for improvements to maintenance performance wherever possible. Key Result Areas: Equipment and production performance Working Conditions / Other features of Job: Hours of work, shift work; travel; working conditions; etc The role holder will be a time served Industrial Maintenance Technician with manufacturing experience and in-depth knowledge of the machinery and automation. He/she will be at HNC level with analytical fault finding ability. Minimum of 3 years' experience, 4 shift working, plus the ability to work on own initiative and within a team. Needs to be familiar with Health and Safety regulations. Qualifications / Educational requirements: HNC in an Engineering subject Job Skills: Good general Engineering competency Experience: Experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment and machines or similar. Personal Competencies: Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Ability to work under pressure Well organised Flexible Team player Other: This is working on mainly reactive maintenance on a range of manufacturing equipment from Injection Moulding machines, robots, automation, handling equipment assembly. It involves pneumatic electrical and mechanical equipment of all types sizes.
