Overview
We are recruiting for a market leading company within the automotive industry in Cheshire who are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Maintenance Manager to support the growth on their brand new site. You must be time served electrically and you must come from within the automotive industry for this position. Plenty of training will be provided and courses available to enhance your knowledge on their specific equipment.
The Role
Sitting within the technical paint section, you will be overseeing a team of 6 in a predominantly managerial position, however you should be comfortable dipping in hands on as and when required. From a hands on perspective you will be able to fault find as a minimum using PLC's, have robotics experience. On a supervisory stance, you should have proven experience leading and supporting a team of engineers within a highly pressurised environment that supplies through to an end user with delivery times to hit. The role will involve having ownership over PPM's so you should have a proactive mind-set and like to look ahead of problems with a lean manufacturing mentality.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be time served electrically, HNC as a minimum
- Experience in a role such as Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Team Leader
- Automotive manufacturing experience essential, ideally used to JIT manufacturing.
- Ideally have experience in a paint department/line
- Any type of robotic experience i.e. ABB, Fanuc Durr - be able to fault find, ideally modify and programme
- Siemens PLC's ideally for fault finding
- Knowledge in Lean manufacturing
- Strong leader
- Confident and effective communicator to all levels internally and externally
- Attention to detail, driving repetitive tasks
- Confident in own ability and strong decision maker
