An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead a new team of health professionals at this not-for-profit organisation providing services for all social housing organisations in Manchester.

They are looking for an Occupational Therapist /Team Manager to develop their work and ensure that they make the best use of their adapted rented homes in Manchester. You would lead a team who offer a customer focussed and dedicated service to all of their residents and housing partners in the City.

You will provide expert guidance to your team who will give high quality advice and information to people looking to move to a more accessible or adapted home that meets their needs to enable them to live independently for longer at home. Working within the Manchester Move team you will visit customers in their homes and / or community to assess need and provide sound advice on rehousing options. As part of a great team that is passionate about making a difference you will be enabling clients, especially those who are the most vulnerable, to have more accessible homes to make a huge difference to their lives.

You will be based North Manchester with travel necessary across the City on a regular basis to visit client and partner organisations.

Reporting directly to the Manchester Move Operational Manager, this role will involve a partnership approach to meet the needs of registered providers and rehousing applicants. You will manage your caseload and be responsible for the performance, management and development of your team. You will have a proven track record of delivering high quality customer service, effective and measurable clinical advice with strong communication, prioritisation and persuasive skills

You will have a degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) and current registration with Health Care Professionals Council. The successful candidate will have gained experience working in a similar position ideally in a customer facing role.
