We are working with a niche manufacturer in the Leeds area, who operate a highly successful business with a turnover of GBP50m.
Due to an internal restructure, we are looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join the business on a 6 month interim basis.
This is a hands-on progressive role responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements, internal management reporting, cash management, tax compliance, accounts payable, payroll, costing and pricing.
The individual should be detail oriented accounting professional who will take responsibility also for external audits, internal controls and financial reports in both UK and US GAAP.
Key responsibilities include:
Management of finance team of 2
Drive monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process, year end audit and provide financial reports in accordance with UK and US GAAP
Generate the financial information, analysis and recommendations that provide the management team with dashboard reporting
Develop policies and procedures that provide for proper internal controls and ensure data integrity
Analyse key business metrics like material margins, gross margins, inventory levels, receivable and capital expenditures and make recommendations for improvements
Work collaboratively with the management team on various commercial and business initiatives
Drive continuous improvement and develop new and progressive ways to improve the transparency of financial data
Manage the process of costing for new business, ensuring completeness of costs and appropriate pricing to drive margin improvement
Provide reporting and oversight to the CAPEX process
Maximise the effectiveness of company ERP systems and drive process improvements where possible
Staff development and training
Directly impact working capital improvements through the management of accounts payable, credit and collections and cash management functions
Manage all tax compliance
Assist in the annual budget, financial forecasts
Ad-hoc projects

The role is to start immediately.
