Design Engineer job vacancy. Design engineering, development engineering, mechanical engineering role focussed on the design, development and application of advanced polymer composite material products for a broad range of industries. Position would suit a degree qualified mechanical engineer or materials engineer with a mechanical design, CAD and design analysis / FEA background. Role is with a dynamic and growing materials engineering business working with OEMs and end- users to design, develop and commercialise advanced polymer composite material products.
Salary Guideline: GBP25,000 - GBP35,000

The job will involve:
- You will have the opportunity to work across the entire product development cycle from applied research, product design, product testing, prototype development, process development and manufacture.
- Producing 3D CAD designs / mechanical designs using SolidWorks.
- FEA, mechanical design analysis engineering calculations activities.
- Projects are with a diverse range of companies from small private companies to large PLC's in the UK, Europe, USA, Canada and the Far East.
This job will suit:
- A Mechanical Engineer or Materials Engineer with experience of working within a design or development engineering focused position.
- Experience of producing CAD designs, undertaking FEA analysis and involvement in wider engineering product development activities is preferred.
- An energetic, self-motivated engineer with both theoretical and practical engineering abilities.
- You are likely to be degree qualified in a mechanical engineering, materials engineering or similar discipline.
