Business Development Manager - Rail We are seeking a Business Development Manager to be focussed on the UK Rail Industry for a product which has been developed for a wide number of track and rolling stock applications. This is a major opportunity to join a small fast growing PLC team which has spent the past 10 years gaining Rail approvals that now need to commercialise the product and gain first choice adoption UK wide. The Business Development Manager will manage existing customers and identify new business opportunities and convert them into sales to meet the company targets for growth and profitability. Head Office is based near Milton Keynes, but as territory is UK wide, working from home will be the norm. Responsibilities and Duties include: - Development/maintenance of excellent customer relationships at various levels. - Responsibility for the budget for a designated customer/prospect portfolio. - Sell the full range of the company's products throughout the UK and provide technical support to customers for installation, delivery, events and demonstrations. - The focus of this role will be in consultative sales to the Rail and Rolling Stock Industry whilst building awareness of the company's products and services and developing a modern, engineering problem solving partnership approach with customers. - Identify and pursue sales leads/opportunities and prospective customers. - Identify customer needs through detailed market knowledge and meetings - Provide the Sales and Management Team with market activity feedback. - Plan, prepare and deliver responses to ITT/RFQ, presentations and proposals. - Communicate new product development to prospective customers. - Negotiating with customers and secure long term profitable commitment - Maintain CRM database accurately and in a timely manner. - Contributing to strategy, operations and development of business - Continually develop and improve operating practises within Sales and Marketing - Ability to travel away from home regularly as the position may require extensive UK travel. - Representing your organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations. - Use Social Media effectively Experience and Qualifications - Significant Sales and business development experience in the rail sector - Significant network in UK Rail market - Demonstrable sales successes and growth - Must be self-motivated and extremely focused working under own initiative - Ability to adopt an advisory, consultative approach when selling products, with a can-do attitude. - Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Strong commercial flair and the application of the highest ethical standards in all dealings and transactions. - Engineering background preferred but not essential- Driving Licence - Essential Benefits - Salary - Negotiable dependent upon experience - Company Car - Bonus Scheme - Pension Plan - Significant opportunity for advancement If you believe you have the relevant skills and experience and wish to apply please send a brief copy of your CV and a covering letter, outlining your suitability for the role, please send your CV to Philip Delaloye on **************************** or call on ************ Rail01
