Architectural Technician
A multidisciplinary practice based in Oxford is looking for an Architectural Technician to join their Urban Design team. This practice works in a number of fields and are a Investors in People - Gold Accredited.
This practice is very much design-led with a strong client focus and driven by results. They have a strong reputation in the market for achieving planning consent and delivering projects on time and budget.
The key responsibilities of the Architectural Technician position will be focused on the delivery of detailed design relating to housing site layouts and residential design. The main focus of the role will be on RIBA Stages 0-3.
The Job: Architectural Technician
- Experience in contemporary and traditional housing on a range of scales
- Experience in preparing site layout designs for planning consent
- Knowledge of working with house types
- Ability to design house type elevations and work with standard and non-standard floorplates.
- Ability to input into Design and Access Statements
- Awareness of site constraints.
- Working knowledge of housing regulations, Local Authority standards, CDM Regulations, Lifetime Homes, and building regulations.
Experience using Vectorworks, Adobe Suite and Sketch Up is desirable, but not essential.
