This will ultimately result in you managing the full recruitment process with both our clients and candidates. You will focus on providing the best service in order to maintain Hays' outstanding reputation. You will work to targets and deadlines to ensure that you are performing to our high standards. You will be in contact with candidates and clients, building and maintaining existing relationships to grow your business. Your position will include candidate interviews, client meetings, business development calls, proactive sourcing and marketing of candidates and ensuring suitable background checks are completed prior to placing successful applicants.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEEDTo succeed in your year-long Internship with Hays, you will have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate behaviours that reflect our brand values; Ambitious, Expert, Passionate about People, and Inquisitive. You will be professional and commercially-minded, which will support you in being able to build & maintain new relationships. You will be driven by successfully achieving targets and have exceptional attention to detail, time management and interpersonal skills. You may benefit from having worked in a position where you've had to work towards sales or activity targets, although this isn't essential. WHAT YOU'LL GET IN RETURNBased in our York city centre office, you will be part of an office which recruits for office support, finance and construction roles. You will receive Hays industry leading training in order for you to develop your knowledge in sales and recruitment. Starting as a candidate resourcer, with the aim of progressing as soon as possible to a full recruitment role, you will have performance related promotion targets to achieve within the programme. Achieving these will lead to possible further opportunities during your placement, and a fast-track career path if you choose to join Hays on a permanent basis after your graduation.
