Our client is a coffee company, and they are seeking an experienced Coffee Field Service Engineer to join their team, covering the High Wycombe area.

The successful candidate will working as part of a national field service team, responsible for the High Wycombe area, and they will be responding to reactive and planned service calls across specialist roast and ground coffee equipment. This will include working on 3 phase equipment for the speciality coffee market, in addition to some vending machines and to a lesser extent on chilled cabinets. You will be undertaking complex preventative maintenance work and preparing equipment for external assessment for pressurised vessel testing/boiler inspections.

You will be working on bean-to-cup and traditional espresso machines, typically from manufacturers such as Jura, Francino, Thermoplan, Schaerer, and Cimbali.

Utilising your good communication skills you will be meeting customers in high street coffee shops/hotels/airports (including airside) and on their commercial sites - you are required to keep them updated with the progress of their service call. It is important to understand that when working in the speciality coffee sectors space is at a premium and this creates challenges for the technician to work in, and also service levels are extremely high.

Alongside your formal training and previous experience, together with the comprehensive levels of training provided, you will be expected to diagnose and fix all types of faults (working to component level) - ensuring our customers equipment is repaired within our agreed service levels. You should have an attitude which includes a desire to work to very high standards and be prepared to give flexibility and commitment when carrying out your duties.

Main Duties:

- Respond to re-active service calls on equipment
- Execute installations and customer training on newly installed equipment
- Carry out preventative/routine maintenance on equipment
- Liaise with customer and call centre staff to ensure everyone is kept informed

Essential Skills & Experience:

- Thorough electrical knowledge including experience and confidence of working on 3 phase equipment
- Thorough mechanical knowledge (including experience of hydraulics)
- Ability to read and understand circuit & hydraulic diagrams and schematics
- Good knowledge & understanding of coffee and the culture of this sector
- Barista trained to C&G certification level
- Deciding and managing on site swap outs of speciality coffee equipment where appropriate (for workshop overhaul)
- Knowledge of all payments systems - cash or cashless
- Accurate fault finding to component level (eg; operational component).
- Basic understanding of refrigeration principles.
- Full understanding of safe working practices & H&S requirements
- Full clean driving license
- Confidence in communicating with Customers
- Basic food hygiene certificate (handling and working with fresh milk)
