Process and Improvement Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Process Engineer for a local division of a global business, supplying to a large variety of industries including aerospace, automotive and construction.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving business and be actively involved in supporting improvement efficiencies and lean activities.
Applications are welcomed from graduates with some experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment as well as candidates with a more developed career.

Main areas of responsibility
Achieve monthly sustainable cost reductions
Take ownership for the Manufacturing Excellence activities and budgeted improvements
Implementation of Lean/Continuous improvement principles
Improve process control measures
Ongoing implementation of Standard Operations, process training and process assessment
Increase process standardisation, reducing complexity
Workstation improvements, utilising lean principles to improve efficiency
Waste identification and minimisation
Development of training programmes to develop the manufacturing team

Requirements
Engineering Degree/HNC in an Engineering Discipline an advantage
Experience within the aerospace/automotive would be an advantage
Ability to read engineering drawings and specification
Experience within the polymer industry would be helpful but not essential
