ATA Rail are proud to be working in partnership to source 3 experienced Site Manager's for a Principle Contractor in the North West.
Our client cover projects from Grip stage 3 to 8. For this role, you will be working on several Network Rail projects.
You will be joining a long established client who are one of the UK leading engineering and construction companies. They cover a number of building, civil engineering, water, power and land and marine projects. This role is withint their well established Rail Division.
If you are successful in securing the role you will be working on the following;
- Station modifications
- installiation of a footbridges
- Lift shaft installations
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Provide site based leadership for all construction and installation operations
- Promoting Health & Safety management, construction best practice and management of site construction resources in close liaison with the Project Manager.
- The Site Manager is also responsible for performing construction operations in conformance with contract requirements using qualified personnel and procedures as applicable and ensuring that the required level of quality and workmanship is maintained throughout the construction process.
Experience required
- Main contractor background
- Work with minimum supervision from your Line Manager
- Forge good working relationships with colleagues and client representatives
- Effective time management to achieve both external and internal deadlines, identifying priorities on significant issues
- Plan and be organised.
- Delegate effectively
- Ability to write and review Work Package Plans, Construction Phase Plans, Task Briefs and Method Statements
- Strong Civil Engineering background and experience working on earthworks, embankments, drainage, electrification or bridge projects
- Experience working on station modification projects
Qualifications Needed
- HND/HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering- desirable
- PTS
- SMSTS
- First Aid
The remuneration package for this role is as follows;
- GBP40,000-GBP45,000 per annum depending on experience
- Car or car allowance (Minimum GBP6000)
- Healthcare cover
- 5 % Company pension
- 25 days' holiday +8 days' bank holiday and this will increase with service
- Flexible benefits scheme which can include dental cover, childcare vouchers etc.
