The Publisher / Associate Editorial Director Opportunity:

Thanks to the strong growth of our journals business, we are recruiting for a driven, motivated and commercially astute Publisher/Associate Editorial Director to join our already highly successful team. 

In this pivotal, senior role, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and development of a large portfolio of proprietary Life Sciences journals ensuring ambitious growth targets are met You will also lead a team of editors and assistants, overseeing their professional development and performance. Along the way, you will demonstrate first class influencing skills and a strong ability to forge effective relationships with a host of colleagues, external editors, members of subject communities and authors, to deliver highly regarded and well received content. 

About You:

An experienced manager, you will ideally have a background in scientific, technical or medical publishing. You will have a solid grounding and understanding of journals publishing, business models, and publishing processes, with sound financial and budgeting skills. You will enjoy keeping abreast of current trends within the Life Sciences market, ensuring the portfolio remains current and always ahead of the competition. Commercially astute, you will have a proven track record having worked successfully with external editors, and authors, motivated and inspired teams and ensuring targets are met. You will have a persuasive, ambitious, and resilient personality, with a genuine passion for journal publishing.
