Functional Consultant

Our client, a large financial services and retail network organisation, is looking for a Functional Consultant on a contract basis for the next 6 months. The role itself will be based in Moorgate, London.

The purpose of the role

The Post Office is creating a Branch Deployment Centre (BDC) to manage the deployment of new technology to its branch. It has selected Microsoft Dynamics CRM 365 Online as its chosen technology.

The role will provide a key skill set in ensuring that Dynamics is fully utilised to meet the business's requirements

Key areas of accountability

As a Functional Consultant your role will be to:

1. Engage with BDC team to understand the aims and objectives of the programme.
2. Work with the business analyst, BDC Department Lead, MS Dynamics Technical Consultant and SMEs to perform a discovery exercise to create an outline High-Level Design for the proposed use of MS Dynamics CRM 365.
3. Input likely estimates for timescales to deliver requirements and help to shape development phases
4. Present HLD to key technical staff, including enterprise architect, Branch Network and IT management, along with pre-sales Microsoft team
5. Lead workshops with the BDC team to capture workflows, configuration, screen design and other technical details to be used by the MS Dynamics Technical Consultant to build and configure the system.
6. Produce Functional and Configuration Design documentation
7. Provide input into the technical project documentation being produced by the MS Dynamics Technical Consultant to allow the solution to be supported and transited into a live service
8. Ensure that proposed solutions and workflows are kept simple and efficient to be delivered on-time
9. Validate solutions against licensing impacts to ensure effective utilisation of licenses
10. Ensure that screen designs are in-line with the latest brand guidelines

Experience required

• Experience working as MS Dynamics Functional Consultant is essential
• Proven experience in delivering and implementation of MS Dynamics CRM 365 is essential
• Experience on working on Online implementation is desirable
• Experience in working on an implementation involving either Field Services or Project Services is essential

Qualifications required

• The 'Dynamics CRM Customization and Configuration (MB2-707)' qualification is required.

• The 'Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 Online Deployment (MB2-710)'
• The 'Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 Installation (MB2-711)'
• The 'Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 Customization and Configuration (MB2-712)'
• The 'Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 Sales (MB2-713)'
• The 'Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 Customer Service (MB2-714)'

Skills required

• Ability to quickly learn new operational knowledge and translate to technical design and configuration output
• Ability to communicate to different levels of stakeholders from admin staff through to senior management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude, energy, enthusiasm and flexibility are essential.
• Excellent analytics, design and technical skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and solve problems/make decisions
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team, using own initiative to resolve problems and make decisions.
• Good planning and organisation skills with the ability to work within structured processes, managing tasks efficiently and effectively.

Knowledge required

• Knowledge of creating/managing a support centre would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of creating/managing deployment schedules would be beneficial.
