The company designs, manufactures and installs radiation shielding and other products in the nuclear, medical and other markets.
Reporting to the Management Accountant as a Credit Controller you’ll assist in the smooth running of the company sales ledger transactions. You’ll be responsible for ensuring aged debt is kept to a minimum and the sales ledger is maintained with a high level of accuracy, through direct contact with customers via telephone and email.
Your responsibilities and duties will include although not be limited to;
- Processing payment receipts, matching to accounts receivable invoices
- Creating reports and chasing outstanding debts to ensure customer payment, and escalating cases up to taking legal action as necessary
- Resolving credit control queries and agreeing credit control limits
- Raising manual sales invoices and credit notes as required
- Maintaining an up-to-date sales ledger
- Collating data for credit control KPI’s
- Attending management meetings to provide updates on a regular basis
- Ensuring good working relations and timely communications with all team members and internal and external customers
To be considered for this Credit Controller role you MUST have the following experience, skills, knowledge and attributes;
- Proven experience working within a similar busy credit control role
- IT literacy with superb knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Sage
- High level of attention to detail, numerate and literate
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Proactive approach to achieve superb results
- Ability to work using own initiative
Previous experience working within the construction industry would be advantageous but not essential.
In return;
Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, level dependent on experience

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am – 12:30pm
Contracted Hours: 35 hours per week
