Our client requires a Care Assistant to join their team on a full or part-time basis, shift work will include both days and nights.

The role

As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Care Team with the overall care of a Residential home for the elderly, some with Dementia. You will be required to ensure that the highest quality of care is delivered and that it meets individual needs effectively and safely.

You will receive full support with opportunities to gain nationally recognised qualifications including NVQ 2 and Care Certification, together with a wide range of training to support you in the role.

Satisfactory clearance from the Disclosure & Barring Service will need to be undertaken together with two references.

What you’ll need

• The ability to demonstrate effective communication skills and empathise with those in need of care
• To be aware of the differing needs of residents and have the ability to prioritise to meet these need
• The ability to demonstrate awareness/understanding of other people’s behaviour, physical, social and welfare needs
• A caring and mature outlook and the ability to follow procedure and guidelines
