Electoral Services Visiting Officer
Salary: £9.97 per hour

We are looking for Visiting Officers to join their busy and friendly team on a zero hour one year fixed term contract, with the possibility of an extension following a review.

As a Visiting Officer, you will visit properties in specified areas across Fenland, north Cambridgeshire according to a timetable to collect information in relation to the registration of electors under the Individual Elector Registration system.

It is envisaged that the role would be up to five weeks, three-four times per year and the areas available are:

Area 1 - Chatteris and Doddington.
Area 2 - March.
Area 3 - Friday Bridge, Elm, Coldham, Rings End, Christchurch, Wisbech St Mary, Guyhirn and Thorney Toll.
Area 4 - March, Manea, Wimblington and Stonea.
Area 5 - Peckover area of Wisbech, Parson Drove, Murrow, Gorefield, Leverington, Newton and Tydd St Giles.
Area 6 - Whittlesey, Benwick, Coates, Eastrea, Turves and Pondersbridge.
Area 7 - Wisbech.
Area 8 - Wisbech.

You will need a good knowledge of the areas of Fenland for which you are applying and be willing and able to travel across the district visiting urban and rural locations. Own transport is required.

This role will play a critical part in providing information about the electoral registration process to electors so good customer service skills and the ability to engage with a variety of audiences is essential.

They need someone who is self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines.

Full training on electoral processes will be provided.
