We are looking for a Quality Manager to join a Global Plastic Packaging Manufacturer based in the Yorkshire region. The Products produced can be seen to package some of the World's most recognised brands, provided plastic packaging to a variety of FMCG Markets.
THE ROLE:
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the successful Quality Manager will be responsible for assisting with product development whilst managing a team of quality professionals at different levels; the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Reviewing customer requirements and making sure they are met;
- Ensuring the manufacturing and production of products are in compliance with UK and EU regulations.
- Maintaining high quality and health and safety standards
- Documenting validating tests and maintaining controls.
- Ensuring the company's quality procedures standards and specifications are thorough throughout all levels of the team.
- Ensuring and maintaining compliance with company accreditations: ISO 9001/BRC/HACCP/14001
THE PERSON:
The requirements for the successful candidate are as follows:
- A proven quality manager within a fast paced manufacturing background preferably print/packaging or food.
- Be a hands on manager
- Motivated personality
- A fast thinking problem solver with the ability to make key decisions.
- Degree Qualified in a manufacturing/engineering or quality discipline (Essential)
- Working Knowledge of Health and Safety/ NEBOSH (Essential)
- Lead Auditor (External and Internal)
- Working Knowledge of Six sigma, Kaizen and SPC (Essential)
