Draughtsman- Design Support

Our Client, a market leader in the manufacture of High Security Steel Products are looking for a dynamic and forward thinking design engineer to join their busy team. The role is a Mon-Fri position offering excellent benefits and room for progression. ROLE - To aid and support Engineering Services department daily activities. - Producing design packs using 3D software for internal and external clients and third party certification bodies. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Produce drawings and design packages to support Engineering Services product development and where applicable third party certification and approval. - Produce drawings, laser profiles & picking lists for internal & external Engineering Services dept. customers in line with the Technocovers existing & new product ranges to suit agreed specific requirements as outlined by Engineering Services management & senior engineers. - Dealing with daily internal and external Technical support requests received verbally, written or electronic including when required offsite attendance. SKILLS - QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED - Ideally qualified to ONC/OND education level within a relevant discipline. - Proficient in the in the used of AutoCAD/Draftsight. - Design/drawing office experience essential. - Steel fabrication/manufacture experience preferred. - Experience in using Solidworks or another relevant 3D design package (Solidedge, ProE, etc.) preferred but not essential. - well organised with good communication skills - Computer literate with good numeracy skills.
