We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced and friendly Nursery Manager to work within a small family run for children aged 3 months to five years. The nursery is rated "good" by ofsted.
Qualifications
Level 3 qualification
Early Years or Childhood Education University Degree
Experience
A minimum of 3 years working in an early years setting
Previous management experience
Duties/Responsibilities and skills
take responsibility for the overall day to day running of the Nursery and the planning and monitoring of suitable early years curriculum
To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the Nursery and curriculum, exchanging information about children's progress and encouraging parent's involvement
ensure records are properly maintained; e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident records, waiting lists, admissions
To ensure the Nursery is a safe environment for children, that equipment is safe, standards of hygiene are high, safety procedures are implemented at all times and fire drills are practised regularly
To attend meetings and report to the management committee
To supervise staff meetings outside of working hours, and attend in-service training as required
To liaise with the management committee, OFSTED, and other professionals as necessary and ensure that all legal requirements are implemented
Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework
