Tanker Logistics Team Leader

We are recruiting in our Supply Chain team for a Tanker Logistics Team Leader. We are looking for forward thinking individuals that are able to demonstrate management, motivation and leadership skills to support the Tanker Logistics Manager and the business unit. The role involves working in a fast paced environment and is focused on how to develop Supply chain in terms of implementing improvements and demonstrating a proactive approach to quality management, whilst maintaining a thorough knowledge of products and processes used to successfully deliver high quality products to our customers.

Your challenge

In this role the key responsibilities will include:
* Actively lead a team and carry out employee coaching, training and development within the Warhouse and Repack teams
* Support in the effective delivery and promotion of continuous improvement within the team
* Ensure adherence to standard company policies and procedures
* Supporting the management of audits across the department and support investigations realting to the compliance of UK and European vehicle transport regulations
* Comply with Health and Safety measures and act as a champion to instill high levels of personal safety awareness
* Optimise resources required and ensure that company waste is reduced within your team's remit
* Adapting to various processes when introduced to the business and ensuring that the team are aligned to these

Key skills & experience

* Relevant experience in a smiliar role is essential
* Logical attention to detail with the ability to use own initiative
* Proactive approach to solving issues that arise
* Leadership experience or desirable ILM Level 3 certificate has been achieved
* Excellent communication & influencing skills
* Excellent knowledge of Health and safety
* CPC in Road Haulage Operations
* LGV C+E Licence
