Carbon60 are looking for an Electrical designer for 3months work in Rosyth to work on a renewable's project.
Description
The Designer is responsible for the definition of the design solution(s) and production of deliverables to the required standards.
The role requires a good understanding of engineering and design practices as relevant to the individuals discipline and the holder must be able to demonstrate appropriate CAD skills as well as good written and verbal communications. Key Result Areas *
Preparation/production of drawings throughout design lifecycle in line with recognised ISO standards to the required; time, cost and quality requirements.
Deliverables to include; Cable Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Cable Management & Routing, Power Distribution, Volt Drop Calculations, Termination Schedules, BOMs. * Preparation, production and maintenance of project documentation as required by the design lifecycle. * Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders during design lifecycle to ensure coordination and functionality of design, including contribution to design reviews. * Develop innovative design solutions * Provide solutions to manufacturing and installation issues by assisting in the resolution of Technical and Production Queries *
As well as being able to fulfill the generic role profile requirements, we sought capability specific to the project. This being;
- Ability to 3D model electrical equipment and place in accordance with specifications/regulations etc.
- Ability to 3D model electrical routes in accordance with specifications/regulations to ensure correct functionality. (separation etc.)
- Able to produce 2D nodal cable routing diagrams.
- Use of cable transit software. Preferably Roxtec
