Based in beautiful Scarborough on the North Yorkshire Coast, Yorkshire Coast College is a small friendly college, part of the Grimsby Institute Group which is a large, innovative, dynamic and financially sound organisation. We are officially "good" and aim to be an "outstanding" educational provider in the next two years.
We are looking for a forward thinking Head of Department covering English, Maths, Foundation and Community to join Yorkshire Coast College at an exciting moment in its development. The College is currently planning for its move to a new campus and will be undertaking a rebranding exercise as part of the move which will see us become Scarborough TEC. The successful candidate will have an in depth knowledge of the areas that they will be managing and will be prepared to develop creative solutions to delivery of English and Maths. You will be responsible for ensuring there is high quality teaching and learning in your area and will make sure that there is appropriate full time, part time and apprenticeship provision available to students. As part of your role there will be the opportunity to develop links to key stakeholders to ensure the provision meets the needs of people in the Scarborough Area.
