To enforce their Internal Sales Team, based in Manchester, they are looking for an Internal Sales Consultant.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Internal Sales Consultant will have a focus on Lead management, proactive identification of new business opportunities, account development via upselling of new products and development of a solutions-based selling approach to UK customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for outbound call rates within internal sales team
- Identifies and develops plans for cross sell/up-sell opportunities within internal sales team.
- Works with team members to co-develop key deliverables/objectives on a campaign basis.
- Develops telesales campaigns including scripting, and features and benefits as related to individual customer needs.
- Develops a database of all potential objections for each product and provides solutions for each.
- Develops an in-depth understanding of company and competitive products capitalising on competitors' weaknesses in the proposal development process.
- Qualifies all incoming leads including web leads, trade shows, literature requests, and first time customer registrations
- Distributes leads to field sales associates & telesales associates and tracks through the process, determining appropriate follow-up actions
- Prepares and distributes hot lead/lead handling reports to senior sales manager
- Conducts win/loss analyses on all closed sales
- Performs data mining activities to uncover potential sales or relationship building opportunities
Education, Background and Skill Requirements:
- Degree in Environmental Sciences or related field; alternate science degree will be considered
- Telesales or telemarketing experience in a business to business environment
- Proven sales record preferred
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the internet
- Strong planning skills
- Ability to maintain a business perspective in the establishment of project priorities
