Cleaning Quality Assessor
Greater London
Our client has created a new Cleaning Quality Assessor position within the Operations team, and they are recruiting for an enthusiastic and standards-driven individual to fill this important role. The ideal candidate will have supervisory or audit experience in the cleaning industry with indepth knowledge of cleaning standards and statutory requirements. Excellent interpersonal and time management skills with a professional demeanour and approach to duties are essential for this role.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager you will be required to visit our clients portfolio of contracts at sites around Greater London. You will be carrying out consistent site audits to monitor the quality of the cleaning, concierge and portering services provided to clients and establish whether contract specification requirements are being met. Using a PDA you will record the audits, report on all findings and raise any issues to the Contracts Managers or the Operations Manager as required.
Due to London traffic our client will be providing a moped or scooter as the mode of transport to travel to the various sites, it is therefore essential candidates either possess a licence to drive a scooter or moped or are willing to undertake CBT training.
Contract type:
Six-month fixed-term contract (possibility of extension)
Package:
£24,000 per annum, 28 days paid annual leave (including Bank & Public holidays)
Hours:
40 hours per week. Monday – Friday, times to be flexible in line with the business needs but not likely to start before 7:00am or finish later than 5:30pm.
Main duties:
• Inspect and audit the quality of work carried out on sites as per individual site specification, taking photographic records and recording audit results on a mobile device.
• Gather information from the team about their understanding of the site specification, their work practices and any feedback or issues.
• Identify and communicate any poor work performance or misconduct to the Contracts Managers and Operations Manager as required.
• Assess whether all Company requirements are being met e.g. correct uniform and ID badges being worn, time and attendance code boxes in place, Company paperwork being completed accurately.
• Carry out regular risk assessments reporting findings and any dangerous issues.
• Promote safe working practices, checking sites meet statutory and Company requirements in regards to Health and Safety e.g. protective clothing is being used and chemicals are being stored and used correctly.
• Conduct visual checks and PAT tests on appliances and equipment including cables and plugs. Promptly report any maintenance issues to Contracts Managers.
• Provide guidance and instruction to new and existing team members where appropriate so they can carry out their duties safely and efficiently in order to deliver a high quality service.
• Professionally represent the Company at all times.
• Establish and maintain an excellent working relationship with clients.
• Deliver cleaning products and supplies to sites as and when required.
Requirements for the role:
• Supervisory or auditing experience in the cleaning industry
• Licence to drive a scooter or moped or willing to undertake CBT training
• An in-depth working knowledge of cleaning standards and statutory requirements within the cleaning industry
• Proficient in assessing and auditing a broad range of statutory and site-specific requirements desirable but training will be provided
• Possess the ability to self-motivate and use appropriate levels of initiative
• Possess excellent time-management skills
• Ability to train and coach team members in their roles
• Possess good IT skills with the ability to use a PDA
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop professional relationships with a wide range of people inside and outside the company
• Willing to drive a moped or scooter to undertake duties
• Willing to work in a flexible manner, adjusting work times to suit the needs of the business
