Excellent starting salary from £16,000 - £17,853 (Dependent on experience) with a bonus of up to 25% of salary, pension scheme and a cash plan.

38.25 hours per week on a shift pattern with one in four Saturday mornings (10am to 1pm). Shift patterns will be discussed in interview.

Our client is a successful debt recovery business sited on the outskirts of Leeds; due to expansion of the business they are looking for experienced Customer Service Agents to join their team.

THE ROLE

The role of a Customer Service Agent involves speaking to customers and agreeing appropriate repayment plans with them. They ensure that all customers are treated fairly and consideration is given to their circumstances in line with the company’s policies and procedures.


Some of your accountabilities will include:

• Creating sustainable repayment agreements for customers by assessing affordability and agreeing the best outcome for the customer.
• Achieving individual KPI’s and contributing towards achieving team and departmental KPI’s.
• Maintaining accurate records of customer (including third party and representatives) verbal and written communications.
• Recognising vulnerable consumer groups and ensuring the correct outcome for the customer.
• Complying with all company policies and procedures and with all relevant laws, regulations and client contractual requirements.

THE PERSON

You will have clear communication and negotiation skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to empathise with customer circumstances whilst ensuring excellent customer service.

You will work well under pressure, be enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop whilst motivating yourself and others, through looking beyond the boundaries of your own job to support others.

In addition you will have the ability to achieve targets and be computer literate with knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.

KEY EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent including Maths and English.
• Previous Customers Service Advisor / Customer Service Agent or Administration experience essential.
• Previous experience as a Telephone Collections Advisor or Debt Recovery Agent with the understanding of the financial sector would be desirable
• CSA CAI Certificate or CSA level 3 Diploma in debt collection would also be desirable
