JOB TITLE: HGV Shunter / Class 1 Shunter

THE ROLE: A new exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Shunter to join our client and work from one of their third party premises in Langar, Nottinghamshire. You will report to the Transport Manager and be required to carry out all shunting duties on HGV Class 1 / C+E vehicles whilst adhering and complying to strict Health and Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities for the HGV Shunter / Class 1 Shunter role in Langar, Nottinghamshire include:
- Moving and dropping Trailers as and when required
- Open & close curtains
- Work safely wearing complying to Health & Safety and PPE regulations/guidelines
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate must have a Class 1 / C+E licence or at the very minimum a HGV Shunter's licence and previous working experience as a HGV Shunter. You must live local to Langar and be a committed and reliable person as will be working at our clients third part premises, It is essential you have a good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety regulations,
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the HGV Shunter / Class 1 Shunter role in Langar, Nottinghamshire:-
- Must have previous experiences a HGV Shunter or HGV Driver
- Must have either Class 1 / C+E or a Shunter's licence
- Previous working experience as a Shunter is essential
- Must be able to work reactively and be a flexible person in your approach to work
