Enterprise Infrastructure / Architect

I have an opportunity for an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect to join a leading global insurance business. The Enterprise Infrastructure Architect role is to work on group wide projects giving you a chance to set the roadmap and strategy for the groups IT Infrastructure the work will focused on a range of regional and global projects.

As an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect you will be responsible for:

* Several Infrastructure technologies
* Setting the standards and governance for infrastructure design
* Acting as an internal consultant to different stakeholders, providing information on the roadmap you have set and the benefits of change
* Ensuring global architecture and infrastructure architecture is aligned
* Excellent communicator and able to deal with stakeholders of all levels
* Final sign off on Infrastructure solution design
* Continuous learning to bring new relevant technology into the business

Skills required for an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect:

* TOGAF or equivalent
* Strong programme knowledge preferably with delivery experience
* Knowledge of financial services industry
* Excellent stakeholder management skills ideally line management experience

The Enterprise Infrastructure Architect will be seen as a senior position within the business designing and overseeing change to help the business meet its core objectives, you will be part of the IT senior leadership team and be expected to work with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with external providers as well as policing the work that they do on your behalf. It will be up to you to make sure that service owners have the most up to date and relevant services for their business unit, this position is about using your knowledge of architectural frameworks and technical background to set a roadmap that provides the best possible service to your internal clients.
