Investment Operations

A transformational Investment Fund Management firm, founded by a world renowned investor requires an Investment Operations Lead to help drive technical innovation and ensure efficiency of the investment operations function.

The Investments Operations function are closely aligned to, but independent of the Investment Management Team. The post holder will sustain a vital role in ensuring the day to day investments operations function runs smoothly, supporting the corporate goals and objectives of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cash management, stock, position and Open Oder reconciliations, supporting post trade processes including matching and settlement mismatches
• Process corporate actions and Proxy voting elections
• Review, and daily kick out reports, daily income forecasting
• Order Management Trade entry
• Supporting IPO and placement operational process
• Data management support for operational, including security and portfolio data
• Contribute and collaborate on Investment, trading and Operations projects
• Must be able to work 5 days a week, with flexibility to opening and closing of geographically disparate and differing trading times. Ensuring that transactions are seen through to completion.

Essentials skills and knowledge:

• Circa 5 years Investment management experience with a background of smaller asset management/investment management firms or hedge fund type businesses.
• Knowledge of various securities types focussing on equities.
• Ability to work and learn in an agile digital environment
• Experience working with 3rd party outsource providers, experience working for a buy-side investment organisation with broad understanding of other functional areas
• Full trade life cycle understanding
• Trade Order Management System experience (Bloomberg AIM preferred) and other technology systems that support dealing and investment operations process
• Ability to work to tight deadlines

IMC or equivalent qualification preferred. This role reports into the Head of Technology and Investment Operations.
